Course: Create a design brief with Primary Connections

Description: This short course supports primary teachers with practical and easy-to-implement approaches that promote STEM learning with emphasis on S (Science) and T (Design and Technologies); designing solutions to create preferred futures.

This course provides opportunities to:

  • Consider why and how to use design briefs.
  • Explore example design briefs aligned to Primary Connections units and useful planning templates.
  • Create a design brief to implement with students. 
  • Collaborate within a community of practice. 

This course is freely available to Australian teachers. It is self-paced, interactive, and moderated by Primary Connections facilitators.

Face-to-face professional learning

Primary Connections collaborates with a range of stakeholders to provide face-to-face professional learning workshops. These include: State-based Education Departments, Science Teacher Associations, Science Centres, Universities, Philanthropic Organisations, and a range of School Clusters/Networks. These workshops are tailored and responsive to stakeholder points of need. They are made possible using a not-for-profit, fee-for-service delivery model.
